How do I start an engagement?
Fill in the contact form or email me directly at nethra@nethrawedage.com. I'll respond within 24 hours to arrange a free scoping call where we define what you need, set the rules of engagement, and agree on scope and timeline — no commitment at that stage.
Do you require a signed authorisation before starting?
Yes, always. Written authorisation is mandatory before any security testing begins. This protects both parties and ensures the engagement runs within clearly defined legal boundaries. I can provide a standard authorisation template if you don't have one.
What does a typical VAPT engagement look like?
It starts with a scoping call to define targets and rules of engagement. I then perform automated scanning as a baseline followed by manual testing of every finding. The engagement closes with a CVSS-scored report covering executive summary, technical findings, PoC evidence, and remediation roadmap. Critical and high findings are re-tested after you fix them at no additional cost.
Do you work remotely or on-site?
Primarily remote — most security testing and web development work is done remotely. On-site work in Colombo or surrounding areas can be arranged for engagements that require it, such as physical security reviews or internal network assessments.
How is pricing structured?
Pricing is scoped per engagement — every project is different in size, complexity, and timeline. After the initial scoping call, I'll send a clear written proposal with deliverables, timeline, and a fixed price. No surprise charges after the proposal is agreed. Can you sign an NDA before we discuss details?
Absolutely. If your project requires confidentiality before we even discuss scope, I'm happy to sign an NDA first. Just mention it in your initial message and I'll arrange it before any details are shared.
